Normal Education through NIOS
At Anandi, we aspire to make our students self-reliant and independent. Hence we encourage them to pursue regular education through NIOS. Regulated by the Union Government of India, NIOS (National Institute Of Open Schooling) is the national board that offers secondary and senior secondary academic programs along with Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses. The unique feature of NIOS is that it provides a formal and regular secondary and Senior Secondary program equivalent to CBSE.
Anandi is one of the very few organizations to conduct this program and we have a high success rate in it.
Special Education
We at Anandi believe that children with learning, developmental, behavioural or multiple exceptionalities need to be taught in a less restrictive environment (LRE). The special education program here consists of specifically designed curriculum, instructions and programs to suit the needs of special children. Our special educators us non-traditional ways of teaching like DTT (Discrete trail training), thematic instructions and receptive language exercises. Anandi’s teaching & non-teaching staff aims to stimulate our students’ academic and overall development.
Computer Education
Computer Education plays a major role in the development of children with disabilities, as students use the Windows environment to identify and use the different parts of the keyboard and learn to use an integrated mouse. We believe that augmentative communication aids as well as computers and interactive software can enhance the speech, language, and interactive skills of persons with Down syndrome.
